I modeled Martians and Thunder Child in Cinema 4D. Scene was assembled in Vue 5 Infinite. Sky is a bitmap made from several photos, water is a procedural terrain with Dead City Colony 77 TH Mk504 Scientific ship is taking off from exploration platform near Dead City, and is heading back to The Colony 77. It’s carrying samples & specimens found during exploration of ruins of city that not so long ago crowded with life.

Initially Central was thought to be a kind of power plant, but last expedition discovered that it was rather a refueling station. Once, small space shuttles were taking off from large landing platform at the top of the structure. At each tour they were carrying to orbit a few kilograms of antimatter closed in a magnetic container. It remains a mystery why such hazardous activity was carried out inside a crowded city. An accident would result in an explosion that could annihilate every building in one hundred kilometers radius.I did this scene when I was still learning Vue in October 2002 - I modeled some elements (industrial structures on the left, corridors in Vue - other free 3D objects were downloaded from the net. From the left: Prof. Silvia Reeb & Dr Sumi-chan - both two archeologists, Kris Szama - hovercraft pilot, PJ - security android, Prof. Bruce Wildcat - biologist.
